Pope Benedict has been encouraging pharmacists not to supply women with pills “that cause abortion,” stating:
“Pharmacists must be allowed to refuse to supply drugs that cause abortion or euthanasia”
However, there’s a problem with this statement. In Italy women cannot access medical abortions from a pharmacy. So the Pope’s urging is likely against EC – which does not induce abortion.
Now, what’s really not cool about this? Reuters is reporting on this without acknowledging the problems with what the Pope is saying.
